MX Record lookup & generator
Look up MX (Mail Exchange) records or generate a new MX record. Make sure your emails reach the right servers.
About MX Records
The MX (Mail Exchange) record lookup tool is a diagnostic tool that searches for and displays the MX records that designate the email servers for a domain. This test will find the MX records for the queried domain, list them in priority order, and display email routing information.
MX records determine which servers receive email sent to a domain. Each MX record has a priority value — lower numbers represent higher priority. When email is sent, the highest-priority (lowest-numbered) server is tried first.
Importance of MX Records
- Email Routing
Ensures your emails reach the correct server.
- Redundancy
Multiple MX records keep email service running continuously.
- Priority Control
Distribute load with different priority values.
- Deliverability
Correct MX records improve email delivery rates.
